Position Description:

JCC has an opening for a part-time reference librarian on the Cattaraugus County Campus (Olean, NY).  The part-time reference librarian provides a full range of reference services to meet student, faculty, and staff needs, assists in the delivery and assessment of library instruction and information literacy, assists in the collection development of all formats of library resources, provides circulation desk coverage as needed, and fulfills other professional duties as assigned. Schedule includes daytime and evening hours.


Required: Masterís in Library and Information Science from an ALA- accredited institution; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; and a minimum of one year of experience working in a library.

Preferred: Additional post-MLIS experience with relevant reference and instruction experience at an academic or research library.

Additional Information:

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
