Job Description:

Part-Time, 42 weeks @27 hours per week; 10 weeks @10 hours per week. 

Coordinates all Scharmann Theatre usage.

  • Approves and coordinates all usage of the Scharmann Theatre.
  • Works collaboratively with the Theatre Technician.
  • Maintains relationships and collaborations with outside theatre organizations.
  • Chairs Scharmann Theatre Advisory group who oversees expenditures from Scharmann Theatre Fund (Foundation).
  • Assists in Scharmann Theatre budget development and administers budget and FSA designated funds.
  • Communicates the interest of the theatre to supervisor.
  • Selects and produces college-produced theatrical productions. Directs at least one show each year.
  • Oversees all aspects related to theatrical productions including but not limited to:
    • announcement designs
    • working mailing list
    • press releases
    • technical design
    • music and choreography
  • Builds and maintains team spirit and sense of ownership among faculty, staff, and administration.
  • Serves as a role model to students, contractors, consultants, and employees.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments in meeting recruitment and retention needs.
  • Works with student workers to develop theatre skills during productions.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Required: Bachelorís degree in Theatre Arts or related degree. Minimum of three years recent experience in theatre production or related activities. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; commitment to providing excellent customer service; problem solving; budget management; organizational skills; and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. Must be able to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects in a team setting. Attention to detail and accuracy. 

Additional Information:

Salary: $20.58 - $23.16/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits package.
