Position Description:

JCC anticipates potential part-time openings for Mathematics instructors for upcoming fall and spring semesters on the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County Campuses. Coursework may include Algebra Fundamentals, Problem Solving, Elementary Statistics, and/or College Algebra & Trigonometry. Class times and course coverage needs will vary semester to semester. Clearly state campus(es) of interest on application materials.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mathematics, mathematics education, or a closely related field and additional coursework as appropriate (a statistics course at the MAT/STAT 300 level or higher for Elementary Statistics; university calculus I, II, and III for College Algebra & Trigonometry).

Preferred: Master’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a closely related field; teaching experience at the community college level; experience teaching with technology at a distance.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
