College Connections Instructors, 2024-2025
Thank you for considering Jamestown Community College in your search. About College Connections: College Connections is a collaboration between JCC and its partner school districts. The program allows students to earn concurrent high school and college credit by completing JCC courses taught in the high schools by highly qualified, JCC-trained and supported teachers. The content, assignments, projects, and assessments in College Connections courses are consistent with those taught on the JCC campus. College Connections students work towards the same outcomes as those enrolled in on-campus courses. Students who successfully complete College Connections courses earn JCC credit, which is verified by an official transcript. Position Description: College Connections instructors are high school teachers approved to offer Jamestown Community College courses. You'll work with a JCC faculty liaison to ensure that the courses offered in your high school are consistent with those offered on campus in regard to department requirements, student learning objectives, prerequisites, and required assessments. College Connections instructors are required to submit their course syllabus, verify their roster, send course evaluations out to students, and submit their grades for each course taught. Instructors must attend a professional development workshop organized by their faculty liaison each academic year they teach. Additionally, instructors will periodically be observed in their classroom by their faculty liaison and will occasionally need to submit assessment materials to the academic departments.
